The Robotic Surgery Society of Singapore (RS3) is made up of a group of surgeons across different surgical disciplines who are passionate about their craft of robotic surgery. By coming together, we seek to form a common understanding in the responsible use of this advanced form surgical technology which had revolutionised the field of minimally invasive surgery. Since its founding in 2016, RS3 has been the collective voice in advocating patients' access to robotic surgical technology. We engaged with surgeons, hospital management, policy makers, and device manufacturers to provide our professional expertise and advice. We also organised numerous training courses and robotic surgical conferences including the RS3-inaugurated Asian Summit of Robotic Surgery. All our members are key opinion leaders in their respective specialties, and come from the top public and private sector hospitals in Singapore. Our membership is continually growing as we welcome younger surgeons into our midst. Our Board members are refreshed regularly to ensure that RS3 remains at the forefront of robotic surgery in Singapore and globally. 

As I inherit the leadership of this society, and with the support of the new Board members, RS3 will continue to meet the academic and training needs of surgeons who perform robotic surgery. We will continue to engage hospital leaders through our surgeon-leaders in our society. We will also collaborate with industry partners so we can adapt to changes in technology when new robotic platforms become available in Singapore. Therefore, I welcome all surgeons who share our passion to join the RS3 and be involved in the exciting work ahead of us. I wish you well and hope to see you soon.
